Machining Capabilities

With over 30 years experience in machining, Gilwood is fully capable of producing large precision components for exacting industries such as oil gas paper and nuclear sectors. This integrated machining workshop fits perfectly within the Gilwood process, enabling complete control over products.

Gilwood has a fully equipped machine shop both for small batch work and chucking applications. Whilst vertical and horizontal borers provide capacity for 'one off', prototype’s and medium sized components up to 5 tons and 3 meters diameter for Aerospace, Defence and commercial applications.

The skills of the production personnel and the management's wealth of technical expertise in the machining of stainless steels and exotic materials have contributed significantly to Gilwood winning contracts for the manufacture of parts which other companies have been unable to produce successfully, in terms of Quality and Price.
